Repeat Prescriptions
At Aspri we are now operating the Electronic Prescribing Service(EPS). This means the doctor in most cases will transnsmit your prescription electronically during your consultation to a pharmacy of your choice. You will not be given a paper prescription. You just need to present youself to the pharmacy and they will have your medication ready for collection. The same process will apply for repeat prescriptions.
Requests for repeat prescriptions should be made in writing and either handed in to the surgery or posted. If you want your prescription posted back to you please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
Alternatively you may order online via the link at the top of this page. New users to the system are required to complete a simple registration.
Requests will not be accepted over the telephone as this often leads to mistakes.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
